The 2011 season just keeps getting better. Memorial Day Weekend at Flickerwood saw Elliott and Darrell finish well, with two 1D runs. In the first race, on May 28, they finished number two, a scant hundredth of a second out of first place, among 124 horses participating. On May 29 they scored in the 1D again.

As the season wound down, Elliott had established himself as a solid, consistent 1D horse. His run on September 24 at Flickerwood saw him finish mere fractions of a second out of first place; second among 130 horses.

Elliott, at five years of age has assumed the demeanor of a seasoned horse; He's quiet tied to the trailer, waiting, quiet on the ground prior to the race, explosive when given the signal to run, then quiet again while being unbooted and cooling out.
